Toni Gonzaga recently created a buzz after her YouTube channel released an interview with Bong Bong Marcos. Some netizens say that she is a Marcos apologist and that she has given a dictator’s son a platform to spread lies about what really took place during the martial law. On the other hand, there were people who defended her and said that the interview is not politically motivated and that she has equally given a platform to other personalities in politics such Leni Robredo and Isko Moreno. Even though, Toni has yet to give her statement, inevitably, some people in entertainment industry have given their two cents already.

- Cristy Fermin shared her opinion about the issue through her radio program. According to her, there is nothing wrong with the interview and that Toni has the right to choose whomever she wants to interview because it’s her channel. She added, “Besides, inaanak ni BBM si Toni at Paul Soriano noong kinasal sila. Napakagaling ng interview niya kay BBM dahil casual na casual lang. Wala kang mararamdaman na may hidden agenda siya,.”
- Another celebrity and showbiz news personality who shared his thoughts is Ogie Diaz. He said, although he was not able to fully experience martial law, he still has empathy for the so-called victims. But he also emphasized his confusion as to why there is a call for Toni to interview the victims and a need to correct her interview when she just asked questions. Ogie also urged others to make their own YouTube channel so they can interview whoever they think should be interviewed.
- Bianca Gonzales was also not spared by people who are waiting for her comments about the issue. She is a friend of Toni Gonzaga and a public figure who campaigns and promotes the hashtag #neverforget which aims to remind the people of what took place during the martial law and not to let the same thing happen again. In her tweet, she reaffirmed her stand about the martial law and hinted that she communicated with her friend privately. She also stressed her belief that Marcos is not a hero.
