Oh, how much the world has changed by what happened on 9/11, 2001. A tragedy that will go down to history. “Today I feel blessed to be able to remember and honor those souls that were lost that day along with their family members, all the brave first responders and survivors” H.E.R. said about the show that took place in Lower Manhattan, New York City. “This performance is so special and important, and I have been so moved and have dug deep through my emotions to create this heartfelt performance.”

New Yorkers and the rest of the nation gathered and gave honor that marked 20 years since the day that forever changed our world. This event is a tribute for those killed and injured in the 9/11 attacks, and to the many who bravely and compassionately rose in service in response to the attacks, including rescue and recovery personnel, volunteers and members of the U.S. military. September 11 still shapes American policy, politics and everyday experiences in places from airports to office buildings, even if it’s less of a constant presence in the public consciousness after how many years.
