Making it in the top 10 is Counting Stars by One Republic with over 3.3 billion views. Released on June 14, 2013, it has been one of the band’s most successful singles. Counting stars fuses pop rock with R&B and a dash of disco creating an eargasmic masterpiece.

Double trouble they said when Ed Sheeran released Thinking Out Loud last October 14 with 3.3 billion views. The song is a romantic ballad written by Ed himself and has been made famous because it was tagged as the “Walking down the aisle” song.

In an industry that’s been dominated by male artists since, we were in for a treat when Katy Perry made a spot on this list. Her 2013 hit Roar is bigger than anything else she’s released, and all ‘em ladies couldn’t be prouder.

Sugar by Maroon 5 claimed over 3.5 billion views on YouTube in 2021 making it one of the most popular songs ever dropped on the platform. It’s no surprise why this MV made it to the list. The concept was unique, and viewers could not help but play and replay with how the band crashed several weddings, and seeing the newlywed’s reaction, along with the guests, it was dreamlike for most YouTube viewers, leaving most of us to wonder if this will ever happen to us on our wedding day anytime soon! What do you say, Adam?

Even though Justin Bieber was missing in action in the MV, this was no excuse for the audience to stop themselves from getting hooked. From teen pop sensation, he is still making hits when Sorry came out in 2015. Credits to all loyal Beliebers out there.

The widely known “Gangnam dance” was originally referred to as “horse dance” by Psy claims the fifth place with his Gangnam Style garnering over 4.1 billion views. Man, oh man has K-pop made a huge name in the international industry. This song went viral due to its very popular street dance, which was shown in the music video, leaving the viewers want to join in on this hyped dance craze.

Streamed 4.2 billion times, Bruno Mars ft. Mark Ronson in uptown funk placed fourth on the list. The success of Uptown Funk made it a worldwide phenomenon with a major impact on pop culture, making it the most streamed track in the United States and worldwide in one week! Girls and boys hit your hallelujah! ‘Cause uptown funk gon’ give it to you! That’s right.

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth in See You Again placed third with an impressive 5.2 billion views. This track has set the record for most streams in a single week worldwide, especially in the United Kingdom. It is one of the soundtracks of the movie fast and furious and is considered as a tribute to the late Paul Walker.

Get a grip people, Ed Sheeran is unstoppable. Shape Of You hits at top 2 with 5.4 billion times viewed. Released in 2017, it has earned the first spot on the singles charts in 34 countries and kept the spot for 16 consecutive weeks on the Canadian hot 100, as well as 14 non-consecutive weeks on the UK Single’s chart and 12 non-consecutive weeks on the billboard hot 100.

And now the long wait is over.

Taking the top spot, Despacito by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee with a whopping 7.4 billion views. Dang! Who else has not seen this video? The music video received countless of nominations and has remained the highest viewed music video on YouTube. It was so good that they made another version with Justin Bieber on it. And it became extra popular on July 2017 and was reported that the tourism industry in Puerto Rico increased by 45% since the worldwide success of the song, and that tour operators cite the song’s music video for increasing interest in locations such as Club La Factoría and La Perla District in Old San Juan, which were featured in the video.
