America’s Got Talent Season 16 declares new winner

After all the performances, the laughs, the heartaches, the tears, the disappointments, finally on September 15, 2021, America has voted. And now, the new champ of AGT S16 hails from Virginia Beach, Dustin Tavella, 35, a magician whom not only was awarded for a remarkable performance but also has captured the hearts of voters with his heartwarming stories about his wife and his love for his two adopted sons. In a short interview (by Parade.com) after his win and what plans he has now for his Las Vegas show, he said “Definitely for the Vegas act, I want to make sure I stay true to myself of telling stories and inspiring and motivating and, hopefully, encouraging people. As far as the magic goes, I feel like the sky is the limit. I feel we get to dream as big as we possibly can. Again, in this whole process I’ve met some incredible people to work with. I feel like Danny Garcia, Brent Braun, and Blake Boyd, these guys are going to be receiving lots of phone calls from me, because I will need much help creating.” This season’s winner is a man packed with talent from his card tricks, to how he showed his mentalist skills, and in the final hurrah, stunned the people with his amazing routines combined with storytelling, eye-popping and hand-shaking magic. This final performance wowed the audience and in return, he received a standing ovation. Tavella couldn’t be happier as he brought home a total of $1,000,000, a brand-new car, and the headlining of the AGT Live show in Las Vegas. Dustin is the third magician to win AGT and is the second non-Golden buzzer act to claim the title after the Golden Buzzer’s upgraded format in Season 10.
