Yep, a movie that makes you laugh one minute and scream the next is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Films in this genre typically cover a broad range of emotions—from happiness to terror, with plenty of laughs in between. The rollercoaster of feelings you experience when watching a character flee from a horrific killer, only to outsmart him with a wise remark is the greatest thrill, but all these horror comedies have a little something for everyone, whether you’re a horror fanatic or not, here is a collection of some of the best horror comedies.

Ghostbusters (1984) – Review – Simms View

The original ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as supernatural exterminators who must save New York City from a spectral apocalypse. Filled with great jokes and bad CGI, it’s a classic for a reason. Who you gonna call?

5. Fright Night (1985)

Fright Night (1985) review – That Was A Bit Mental

Rarely is the remake of such a classic movie ever any good, but in this case, we were pleasantly surprised. The latest rendition of this OG vampire film is unexpectedly thrilling, and is stacked with talent including the late Anton Yelchin, David Tennent, Imogen Poots, and Colin Farrell.

6. Zombieland (2009)Zombieland (2009) Review - Zombie Flick Deserving of Acclaimed Status | The Film Magazine

The All-American zombie apocalypse film gets a hilarious update with this road-trip comedy that sees college student, Columbus heading back home to see if his family is still alive. Along the way he encounters a gun-toting badass, Tallahassee, and a pair of plucky sisters Wichita and little rock. Oh, and Bill Murray, too.

7. The cabin in the woods (2012)

The Cabin In The Woods - Film Review

This bait-and-switch directed by Drew Goddard begins as your typical horror flick: a group of unwitting college students go to a remote cabin in the middle of nowhere for a boozy, druggy, weekend getaway, where monsters of varying sorts are waiting to pluck them off one-by-one. But it has a postmodern twist, turning this slasher film into a hilarious horror film.

8. Shaun Of The Dead (2004)

Shaun of the Dead (2004) | 2014: A Film Odyssey

The titular Shaun spends his mediocre days shuffling to and from work, playing video games with his best friend, and pining for his recently estranged girlfriend. 9. Goosebumps (2015 and 2018)

Goosebumps' Movie Review - Rolling Stone

If the trailer starts with someone driving furiously, you know it’s going to be good. This dark horror comedy with Dylan Minette and Jack Black, based on the R. L. Stine’s children’s horror book series, is about townies that try to defeat the monsters that suddenly descend on their homes. There are monsters, romance, suspense, jack black, and lots of laughs.

10. Warm Bodies (2013)

Warm Bodies Review

If there were an award for cutest zombie movie, warm bodies would win. It’s the hilariously sweet story of a guy who becomes un-undead when he gets the hots for a human girl.

Social Media Heading And Catchphrase: Who wouldn’t want to both laugh and be scared in a movie at the same time? These movies will not just make you shout at the top of your lungs but will give you a barrel of laughs.
