Based from paranormal experiences of Lutz family which was then penned into a book by author Jay Anson, the movie follows the story of a family living at their newly-bought house with a haunting past. Some of the claimed otherworldly activities experienced by the family were bleeding walls, strange stench, screaming voices, and the head of the Lutz family, being possessed by an evil spirit and in turn will seek to murder his wife and children.

There was a senior prom and a blood-soaked dress. This supernatural horror adapted from Stephen King’s tale is about a bullied teenager with telekinetic powers which later takes a dark turn as she’s had enough of her misfortunes. Several remakes were then made many years later.

If you’re looking for a lighter and more family-friendly Halloween film, then Beetlejuice would be an agreeable choice. Tim Burton’s film lets you see the story of a recently deceased couple who were stuck haunting their house.

This is about a boy who is visited by spirits with unresolved problems and Dr. Malcolm Crowe who is a child psychologist helps uncover the truth of the boy’s supernatural abilities.

This psychological film is considered by viewers as one of the most disturbing and mind-bogging classic psychological thrillers out there. It told the story of an aspirant writer and a recovering alcoholic who was hired as a caretaker in a remote hotel called overlook hotel for the winter offseason. He brings his wife and son with him. Soon after they were left alone, things started to get daunting.
