The Pinoy Big Brother 2015 first runner-up Ylona Garcia is back to business with her new single “Don’t Go Changing Now” which dropped on September 14, 2021. In an interview with Bandwagon, Garcia said that she is ready to dominate the global stage with her own unique brand of “pop with a hint of R&B and a bit of soul”. Garcia wears her heart on her sleeve as she sings about grief through different stages of letting go in which she describes as an “embracing truth toward life’s many riddles, harsh love in particular.” Her new single is a song that embraces truth towards life’s many mysteries particularly “tough love”. She has teamed up with industry veterans Jonas Jeberg and Marcus Lomax, who had previously worked with the likes of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber respectively, on their single. In her music video, which was directed by Louis Browne, it shows how the 19-year-old projects her emotions while she walks around her apartment and finding comfort in Filipino snacks.
