Ages it now seemed where traveling is as easy as securing your travel ticket then off you go. A lot of places and tourist spots have been missed for two years now with travel restrictions being implemented in every region in the country.
But a ray of hope continues to glimmer as Cebu’s tourism is expected to fully reopen by the end of October 2021. Along with this vision is the government’s goal to vaccinate at least 99% of tourism workers in the region.
Currently, at least 50 percent of tourism staff and workers have already been vaccinated in Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.
Chief implementor of National Task Force against Covid-19 and vaccine czar, Carlito Galvez Jr. said that with this increasing percentage of jabs, leisure travels will be more possible.
Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat also stressed that one way to help regain travel industry in the country is vaccination among tourism workers. This workforce may include employees in hotels, airports, restaurants, and others involved in the travel industry.
Considered as one of the most visited and beautiful tourist destinations in the country, Cebu will surely be one of those places one can’t wait to visit again– the stunning beaches, rich marine life, delectable cuisines and the amicable locals! Those captivating sites!
Furthermore, with the efforts being put in supporting local leisure travel, transportations such as ferries and airlines are also increasing their travel operations for local passengers who are now more thrilled than ever to witness the wonders of Cebu once again.
